About SSEHV

Sathya Sai Education in Human Values (SSEHV) is a universal, values-based program designed to help children develop strong moral character, spiritual awareness, and self-confidence. Rooted in the five core Human Values common to all faiths and cultures, SSEHV nurtures the inner potential of each child.

What is Bal Vikas (Sai Spiritual Education)?

Bal Vikas, also known as Sai Spiritual Education (SSE), is the foundation of the SSEHV movement. It offers a structured curriculum for children aged 6 to 18, helping them grow into responsible, loving, and ethical human beings.

Program Highlights:

• Moral and spiritual foundation
• Group activities and creative learning
• Public speaking, storytelling, drama, music, and service projects
• Tools to face life’s challenges with inner strength

The Five Human Values

1. Truth (Sathya)

Truth has two aspects:

• Relative Truth: Based on perception and experience.
• Absolute Truth: Eternal, unchanging divine essence within.

2. Righteousness (Dharma)

Righteousness means aligning thoughts, words, and actions. It nurtures discipline, duty, and moral responsibility.

3. Peace (Shanti)

Peace begins within and flows outward.

“When there is peace in the individual, there is peace in the world.” — Sri Sathya Sai Baba

4. Love (Prema)

Love is selfless, unconditional, and pure. It manifests through kindness, empathy, and unity.

5. Nonviolence (Ahimsa)

Nonviolence includes respect for life, compassion, tolerance, and harmony — not just in actions, but also in thoughts and words.

Teaching Approach

SSE classes use experiential and participative methods:

• Value-based stories
• Group discussions
• Bhajans (devotional singing) and prayers
• Life applications (practical value practice)
• Creative arts: drama, music, public speaking
• Service (Seva) activities
